Salam Alkioum Brothers and Sisters, I have been a muslim revert for some time now. I am a 22 year old who was very faithful to catholicism however I didn't believe that Jesus was God. I learned about islam read the quran and reverted. After reverting I met and was suppose to marry a muslim man however his family would not agree to me because I am white. My question is, the prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) stated that arab is no better than non arab or white then black as long as they are pious and good religion. My question is has color and the country you live in become more important then the religion you follow. I know that many think western girls are bad but there are good and bad everywhere. Allah says love for his sake, so when did culture and country become more important? If I am muslim doesn't that make me no different then him or his family? Please help brothers and sisters, I find myself doubting islam now because I feel like I don't belong in the religion. Will I forever be judged because I am white???
