Salaam Fatima22 i too agree with the brother and sister... You're smart. marriage is key in Islam but Allah (swt) is the best provider and if in your heart the person the match maker choose for you wasn't the one then so be it... Allah (swt) has made it so. a Match Maker can't over rule Allah (SWT). Who knows maybe down the road Allah will place in you heart *love* for another brother and he will to you... hence it would then be easy to marry him... it's all in Allah's hands... Fi amin Allah

Salam Fatima, I would have to agree with Brother(sorry I couldn't figure out what to call you). I won't totally dismiss her remarks either since she does bring up some good points (give her benefit of the doubt) but at the same time you can't marry out of guilt. Times have changed drastically and as many many of my and probably your single friends would say..marriage is becoming more and more complicated (espcially for Muslims in the west). Hang in there. I am 28, single and pursuing graduate studies at the moment so I know what it feels like. You seem mature and when the right man comes at the right time, you will know it. Allah will put some Sakeena in your heart and you will be happy with your choice. Allah never put an age limit to marriage (the sooner the better) but not everybody will get to this point at an exact, ideal and socially pre-determined age. Some will take longer than others. Enjoy your single days and have great trust in Allah. Good things happen when you least expect them...I wish us both the best of luck and to all the Muslim sisters who have to deal with this.
