Assalamualaikum For those in Singapore and Malaysia, past midnite tomorrow should be sahur time, which marks the beginning of Ramadhan for us! (Ramadhan in these areas starts on Thursday 13 Sept) I love the Ramadhan month and look forward to it each time. A muslim cannot help but feel more sentimental and grateful to our Glorious Creator during this special month. It is also our 'Bonus Month' where Allah, the Exalted, has promised forgiveness and rewards for us in many folds. Treasure then, this period. Make good use of this month and do not waste Allah's generosity away. I seek your duas to strenghten my iman and taqwa and I seek your forgiveness for any misunderstandings or hurt that I may have unintentionally caused by my past inputs or comments in the blogs or forums. Here's wishing muslim brothers and sisters all over the world, a Truly Blessed Ramadhan!

true, thing is,Ramadan prepare you for the rest of the year but the action in regular days also help you in Ramadan, you avoid your eyes seeing haram, your mouth saying haram,5 time salah,so when Ramadan comes its just easy to do same thing, plus some more nawafils, reading in Ramadan, otherwise without salah its just some kind of diet plan, you go to gym, wakeup in morning have some good effects on you,but going to gym does not bring blessing in your life, but going to masjid does.Ramadan is month of crazy sales, you can buy an many things u want,we r greedy by nature, all we need to turn this greed towards junnah, then only we can stand in those rows, where the chosen one's used to stand or standing & Will b standing in front of Allah swt,may Allah swt give us iman,so we can b hungry for akirah, just like we r for duniya at the moment, insh'allah jazakallah khair

salams and ameen to your duas. Well that's the love and beauty of having such caring mothers! Consider yourself priviledged you have a mother who cooks so well; some of us have to rely on instant noodles and Ramadhan is when we tend to reduce in weight that some non muslim friends become innocently concerned about us, LOL! The sad part, though, is discovering some Muslims, especially youths who are born muslims, who observe the fasting of food (because it is 'Ramadhan') but they do not observe the 5 daily prayers. When I mentioned that they are merely making themselves hungry without truly reaping the benefits of Ramadhan, they are genuinely surprised. And I cannot blame them totally, because they say their parents themselves take praying lightly, even though they do observe the abstaining of food and drinks accordingly during the stipulated time. So the general consensus is that there should be no blame for Ignorance....
