When asked to think of arranged marriage, most Westerners visualize a forced marriage, in which the couple did not meet beforehand and had no say in the final decision. Forced marriages are outlawed in most countries of the world, because they are believed to be cruel and abusive, and most supporters of arranged marriages do not support forced marriage. A forced marriage can be an unpleasant experience for both parties, especially when they belong to a culture which does not permit divorce. Women, especially, can be victims of forced marriages which cause them to enter a state of virtual slavery. Is Arranged Marriage right? Does it make both parties happy? Is Arranged marriage a healthy one to be in? i personally think that if someone wants an arranged marriage they should go look for it themselves, however they should not involve their parents into looking for them as this could create problems between the family on whether the person is right or not... do you think Arranged Marriage is right?

Arrange marriage is the best method to approach marriage life since the parents and relatives would gather informtion about these two and then would decide if they can live together ever after,by this method chances of getting divorce will be low comparing to the western style of approach:flirt, fall in love, make love before marriage for a good number of time, get married later but all fun ranout during sex before marriage, now marriage becomes BORING and the last step is DIVORCE...

I think arranged marriage if both parties agree, has a better chance at making it work than the western way of doing things. I believe though their needs to be some attraction to each other if arranged or the love making in marriage wont survive. The parents if muslims, have more experience and will be looking out for what is best for their child, however; if you find him unattractive or worse in your eyes then there may be a problem later in the bedroom. I can imagine how awkward it would be to have this stranger touch you for the first time, and it makes your skin crawl. basic chemistry must play a part!

yes there is a diff.between both marriages.its ok to arrange if both parties are happy.but remember if youre asian (pak.or indian)then its mostly forced marriages due to the parents honour lol.and these parents proffess love for thier children but if they really loved them they would let them marry from own choice or atleast ask the girl.forced marriages produce illigitamte children..ask any girl that was married in this scenario.so plzz ppl stp playing with allahs laws.these are the same ppl who accept riba lol.but allah sees all that we display and what is in our hearts

I am not agree with you 100%. parents they have experience and they look for family back ground also wich young blood do not see. they just faal in love because job or personality. So arranged marriage is not bad woman can not be a slave.Thier is choice in arranged marriage too. Islam allows divorce and christianity does not allow easily divorce and why blame Islam. Islam give more freedom and human rights then man's laws. so open your eyes and brain miss Hunnie!!!!!

Arranged marriage is not sin and outlaw. Forced marriage is, and outlaw. Arranged marriage is not the same with forced marriage like the western world assumes. The idea of arranged marriage is supported by Islam provided that all concerned agree completely and willingly. The family of the corncerned is believed to have carefully match them with good will and have figured out whether the couple can marry to each other. And many arranged marriages work, and non-arranged marriages fail. Well, it's not about the type of marriage (arranged or non), but more of the couple to understand what marriage is about and how to cope with with the guidance of Islam, which clearly show how to implement it..

Well arranged marriage can be a marriage arranged with love where both parties agree to it. Western marriages which allow sexy and living togather before marriage have a divorce rate of more then 50%. In a good marriage people accept each other for what they are and help each other grow.
