Assalamualaikum wr.wb. Hello, everyone! Okay... So I wrote in a couple of weeks ago about feeling so lousy and all. I'm not feeling so lousy anymore. Hah! I guess girls have their cycles... So during one of my yoga sessions, the instructor said that if anyone asks how we are doing, our reply should be, "Excellent!" There's something powerful about positive replies, he said. It would create a healthy chain of events. The other person would feel good or inspired and would pass the same spirit on to the next person he/she meets. I pondered his words for a while. A few weeks ago I was feeling lousy, remember? I wanted to ask him, so the next time someone asks me that and I am not feeling quite excellent, I should lie about it? But I never did ask him. Knowing yoga gurus, I think they wouldn't even allow negative thoughts.

This is really funny. People from all religious group advise us not to lie. frequently in there guidelines however they create dilemma by tending us to lie like in urs case yoga gurus dont want let negative energy flow inside you. To be honest in true senses one need to be rational and practice things which are prooven facts. Otherwise gurus take advantage of faith when our mind not work in rational manner. Just believe QURAN for rest rely on prooevn facts and eveidences. Let not others deceive your fath.

Yes Brother, you are entitled to your opinion. Even though I'm residing in a non-Muslim country, I wouldn't reply to a fellow Muslim without coupled with Alhamdulillah etc. I took yoga for the fun of it, for the stretching exercises. Sometimes the instructor tells us to sit in a meditating position, clear our minds of ALL things and say ohm or something like that. I don't do everything he says. Instead I substitute the ohm part with dzikr. I thought it's better that way. Do I think yoga is more beneficial for me? Of course not. Islam is enough for me, and it is also through Islam that I learn to have an open mind of other cultural practices. I am always reminded that great civilisations collapsed when they refused to take in others' ideas and became static. We always think that we are the best people ever raised up for mankind that we turn complacent and now we are at the lowest of the low of our time. Now... how did that happen? We can only romanticise about 'the Golden Age'. Even if we are at the extreme opposite of that now, dismay not, as I believe if we are steadfast in our faith, we make better Muslims because we held our ground when others - one by one - slowly succumb to worldly temptations. And boy! did I mention how aggresive and ferocious the campaigning of worldly temptations is??? Okay enough of that. Forward to the present... The first time my instructor saw me, he told the whole class that he didn't think I would have a problem with some of the yoga positions. "That's how you do them in your prayers too, right?" I smiled at him and nodded, "Yea... similar."

when Muslim see each other,we say assllamoalikum wrwb(peace & blessing upon you)positive start before conversation, during conversation,we hear insh'allah(will of Allah)mash'allah & subhan'allah(praise b to Allah)even when Muslim feeling down & going through some kind of crisis,u ask him, hows every thing,he supposed to reply(alhamdulillah)mean thanks god,he mean it or not,but give him courage to face his problem, when say insh'allah my problem will b solved soon, salah(pray) & these words r much more stronger & healing then yoga & excellent, don't you think?i japan its not crime to commit suicide but in our Muslim society & western society its crime,in Islam its haram & you go to hell if u waste your life, which is blessing of Allah swt,no one can stay positive more then a practicing Muslim,i repeat practicing only, these r just my thoughts,i hope i did not offended u in anyway CZ it wasn't my intention, may Allah swt give us true understanding of deen,so we can stay positive insh'allah
