Assalamu aleykum brother, If you are muslim the answer is simple live according to the rules of Islam. Guard against evil,Guard your salah(pray them as if you would die after you finish), do dhikr Because dhikr eases the heart makes stress and saytaan go away.(example in Muhiddeen ibn arabi's books when the prophet (saws) asked Saytan what happens to you when someone reads Quran, Saytan replies I melt like a burning candle and when I hear adhaan I run away.) live as if you wont die for dunya and worship as if you die tommorow. If someone doesnot live islam then indeed he/she is like the living dead. Allah knows best
