In many parts of world including India many people observe mourning of shahadat of HUSSAIN, the grand son of our prophet. Its big controversial matter for ulema and we people are confused. I want to know IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE IN FAVOUR OR AGAINST MOURNING THIS EVENT.

asallamoalkum,its sad day but also a great lesson in it to learn but not as we see in form of bleeding your self in diffrent parts of the world,seem like some scarey form of ritual which is very bad impression to nonmuslims about our deen,i never heard any ulemma saying its right way to show your sadness,lots of them fast CZ they think hadrat Hussein & hassan (RA) were thirsty & hungry but according to sunnah we suppose to fast CZ of migration of hadrat moses (as)with Bunni Israel to Palestine from Pharaoh,Allah knows the best.may Allah give us hidaya
