If you had a husband whose responsibility it was to pay for all your costs, provide you with suitable housing, pay for all your children's expenses, provide you with social recreation as well as treat you kindly, patiently and with justice, would you cooperate with him? Would you try to make him happy, respect him and forgive him for any wrongs he might do? Along with that, you would have the right to earn and keep your own money and he wouldn't have the right to tell you how to spend it. You could be a millionaire but he would still have the responsibility to pay for all your needs. Doesn't that sound great?

I am not sure I understand the question? A man has responsibilities to the wife as does the wife to thew husband. We should be grateful to the husband for what he does even though it is his responibility. If a woman was a millionaire I hope she would want to ease the husbands burden by contributing to the household expenses. She should want to do this as an act of compassion towards her family not to relieve the man of his responsibility. A man should never be releived of his responsibility. This woman's lib bit in America and other places has gone to far. We need to be the mental equal of men but there are things at which we should not mind taking a step back and letting men be men and women be women. I think women should define what those things are according to Quran and Sunnah not be dictated to by men what women should do or not do. Overall it is important to choose a mate that you respect 100% because a woman should submit to her man. We simply must make sure that that man is a worthy leader in order to have a lasting marriage.
