I was just wondering has anyone out there realised that Mr. Palestine 1960 has posted two very different pieces of fiction about his life and how he became a christian?
I think he needs help, in more ways than one.

All i can say is what a relief he is no longer here. His comments were just ridiculous and irritating.. As it is said " Whoever ALLAH guides none can misguide, whoever ALLAH leads astray none can guide ". May ALLAH.C.C guide us all Inshaallah...

Sister Aries, I fully agree that people need not only read the translation of the quran, but also read the interpretation (tafseer). Often alot of meaning is lost in translating any language and specially Arabic.
It is our duty to understand what we read and then abide by it inshaallah. Even native speakers of Arabic do not have the competency required to gain full meaning of the quran.
We gain sawab with every letter we read of the quran inshaallah, so ofcourse it is important to read it whether we understand it or not, but we gain even more sawab and enlightenment inshaallah when we understand what Allah is telling us. After all the quran was given to us to be followed, therefore we must understand in order to follow.
May Allah guide us all in gaining understanding of what he rquires of us inshaallah.

I read a bit. I think he meant it as different peoples experiences, not his.
There was brain numbing reasons given for their conversions like Quran preaches hate which of course is totally untruthful (therefore dishonest) and 9/11 plane crash!!!!
I know these born again Christians, they go to these new churches which have large tv screens - and it`s also a social thing - they have barbeques, picnics, bands etc and meetings...it`s everywhere!..It`s well organized and of course it`s a good setting for them and helps to be spiritual as Christians. Well I am happy for them - it`s only a good thing that people want to turn to God and remember Him. But everywhere they go they try to convert people..and if there are Muslims they give stories of Muslims who have converted!! They are conveniently blind to the fact that we Muslims by the mercy of God believe in Him our Creator, his prophets, his angels, his books etc. and what was revealed to us in truth in the Quran. I think if there were any "Muslims" at all who did convert they were surely not seeking truth but rather a social setting.
If you search under "converts to Islam" on the internet there would be countless stories of conversion to Islam.
By the way do you think there should be a movement in people to read the Quran translation because I think a lot of non-Arabic speaking Muslims are taught to read the Quran in Arabic but they don`t understand the meaning of what they are reading? I don`t know why they don`t learn Arabic not just to read as it`s only a good thing to learn languages and so easy when you are young.
