Assalam-o-alaikom
Dear frinds
Its really a matter of shame for us that we are lagging so far behind the developed nations..One of my friend mentioned about malysia..malysia is developed in terms of it economy not in science and technology..what are discoveries of malysian scientist where they have their monopoly??..
We have to accept this reallity that we in shamfull position regarding science and technology..
This all is not because we are muslims..but because we are not good muslims...

I know for a fact that this is talking about secular education only. Here is another fact...Muslims will never be a great people again until we turn back to Islam. Meaning learn and put into practice Islam. Most of us want only a secular education and are fine with not knowing much about Islam. The command to learn wasn't referring to secular knowledge...it was referring to Islamic knowledge.
In all of the great muslims nations the people were trying to hold onto the book of Allah and the Sunnah of Muhammad SAWS and they achieved great things in many fields of study. No wonder we nowadays are considered to be nothing but the froth on the sea.

We're left behind coz we seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge and personal gain and not for the sake of Allah. The world had witnessed the great muslim scholars such as ibn sina, alkhawarizmi etc making a great impact to the world of science. These people was not only inventors, but the followers of islam.

Seeking knowledge is worship. The person who have better knowledge is closer to God.
I agree with you and we hope the Islamic countries will be stronger in the future.

Bismillah,
A friend of mine said something beautiful
he said Thomas edison invented so much yet he died a non-muslim.
One who knows everything but if he/she doesnot know not Allah then he/she knows NOTHING.
