I hope no one take offense to this, but I found it very funny.
Those who are not arabic might not relate to it as much, but this might give you some insight to an Arabic person's life.
As for us Arab, i know you will get a kick out of this, because you know its true. Enjoy...
You know ur an arab when...
The term visa does not mean a credit card.
You have an endless supply of pistachios, dates, and pumpkin seeds...
Your parent?s say you're becoming Americanized anytime you get into trouble.
You curse at your teachers or strangers in Arabic.
You can spot an Arab a mile away and they too have spotted at you because they keep staring.
After a family meal, the women fight to the death over who should wash the dishes while the men sit on their behinds and discuss politics, waiting for their tea.
Your parents want you to become a doctor or engineer.
Your mother yells at the top of her lungs to call you to dinner even if you're in the next room
You have at least thirty cousins.
You arrive one or two hours late to a party and think its normal
You are standing next to the largest suitcases at the airport
You talk for an hour at the front door when leaving someone's house.
You say bye 17 times on the phone.
When your parents meet strangers and talk for a few minutes, you discover they know one of your uncles back home.
Your mother does everything for you if you are male
You do all the housework and cooking if you are female,
Your relatives alone could populate a small city
You still came back home to live with your parents after you graduate...
You always say "open the light" instead of "turn the light on"
Your parents drink 6 cups of tea a day.
You've had a shoe thrown at you by your mother
You use your forehead and eyebrows to point something out.
Your parents don't realize phone connections to foreign countries have improved in the last two decades, and still scream at the top of their lungs when making long distance calls
well sister belive me u are not alone in this, there are so many muslim sister here in the uk who go through the same thing, mothers think that their sons will come back to them but they wouldnt, they only ise them when they need something from them in the first place.
most parents are soo proud that their sons have white girl friends...psychologically i think thats because the dads want to have girlfriends but they can coz their parents got them married off to young.
My mother still treats my junky brother (of 28 yrs old) like he's got it going on or something. She treats my other brother, who lives with his girlfriend and has a baby the same.
Me and my younger sisters on the other hand are being treated like slaves by our mother. I try to understand this issue, but there is no explanation.
looooooooool...am Arabaic and i have to admite it...it's really true..
i like those..
"You can spot an Arab a mile away and they too have spotted at you because they keep staring"
that's true .. i don't know why we keep looking at each other..and the strange thing is that after we look over each other..we don't want to talk or even say "Salaam"..!!

I'm not Arab either but that was very amusing and funny.
I have known a few Arab females myself, at least from some of the more liberated and modern Arab countries. It is sad that peace cannot break out in the world, and we set aside our differences. I just plain love and am no longer the aggressive guy I used to be...hugs for anyone who wants one instead.
I'm not Arab. However I know alot of Arabs .I have experiences some of these things u mention .This is just so funny.I hope u don't mind me laughing. But u know ur so right.
Both of you made me laugh real hard. Haha..Masya'allah.. It's so true.. I can relate to both of your jokes.. Thanks for making my day a better one with this anecdotes. May Allah bless both of you! Ameen
u know what sis...u really made me laugh..I'm not an Arab but a Pakistani..and we are the same as well...only a few things that u missed out on..u know that its a paki car when everyone is throwing rubbish out of the car windows,...mom tells us not to talk with our mouth full when the food is literally bursting through her cheeks, girls re meant to be for marriage but boyz can screw around!...shoes isn't the only thing that is thrown at us...drinking glasses as well...u can see the boyz running a marathon with their mothers behind them with a rolling pin coz they havent come in time to eat their lunch!..hair has to be cut really short[ that's 4 boyz]..girls have to be greased..when our parents are talking on the mobile they put it to their mouth not their ear!..
