I do agrre that those people are terrorists as well. I think the question ,tho, is (actually I am curious as well) why does it seem that bin-laden (for example) and all the others that are Known as terrorists say that they are Muslims? From what we hear (non-muslims) - they are taught from an early age to fight with guns and to hate americans?? Is this something that is taught in your religion or is it just the culture from where these people are from?? Also-why is saying god is everywhere wrong?? Is it not the same as allah is all over the throne since gods throne is really over the entire world?? seriously dont get it-please respond. And how can anyone say ones belief is "wrong" anyway? who is to say which belief is wrong or right? we will all find out in the end-but to each his own.example-I am not a catholic and dont agree with praising the pope- he is only a man to be respected maybe- but still only a man with sins like all of us. But I would not say it is actually "wrong". I am enjoying all these different views. None of my comments -as i said before- are meant to disrspect or offend. just curious.
question/comment for Klodian-I live in the U.S. and voted for Bush, actually, and also live in Oklahoma (where we have several, several "native american" Indians. So,just wondering where you got your info about "lucky to find any native americans"?? and about the Africans - united states didnt take them as slaves- there own tribes captured them and sold them into slavery-which has nothing to do with religion.Slavery was a shame and it is now over-thank goodness.I disagree about bush being a terrorist.Maybe I dont agree with all things he has done-I want peace-but the u.s is also fighting to keep our land safe and maybe these "innocent" people getting killed in the midst of the war is a real sadness but on the other hand why is are they all hiding these criminals? just a question. If they are not helping stop terrorism they are part of the problem. And we dont need oil from anyone- we have our own! Also- just another bit of info- about the priests and the pope-they are catholic-which are not christians per say.I have nothing against any religion. to each his own - but to drive a plane int o a building isnt anything but pure evil(remember 9-11 anyone??) Someone in here wrote something about most of the U.s. thinking our gov. is behind 9-11- not true at all- maybe they didnt act fast enough and kept some information private but not responsible at all. And the same person said we made many documentaries about it- just one%
In reference to Islam & terrorist I don't see where in any shape or form Islam promotes terrorism.
We believe in God, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another.] (Aal
Islam teaches the respect of all beliefs.
As is borne out by this command of God in the Qur?an, Muslims must believe in all the prophets of God previously sent to humanity. This means that they are not permitted to show any disrespect to any prophet or to the religion he taught to his followers. To a Muslim, religious belief must come out of a person?s free choice, as God has also commanded not to use any kind of coercion in the matter of religion:
[Let there be no compulsion in religion, truth stands out clear from error.] (Al-Baqarah 2:256)
It is the conviction of a religion?s adherents, not the compulsion they can impose on others, that establishes its moral force on earth. This was a principle evident in the life and practice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) as well as the Constitution of Madinah which he drew up with the multi-religious community of Madinah.
This document guaranteed the freedom of worship to all religious communities. This was the spirit of the Qur?an that shines into the hearts of all its perceptive readers: the spirit of tolerance and understanding. Allah says in the Qur?an that He has made people into nations and tribes so that they can know and deal with each other in an equal temper of kindness and generosity:
[O humankind! We created you from a single pair of a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know and deal with each other in kindness (not that you may despise each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God (is he who is) the most righteous of you, and God is Knower, Aware.] (Al-Hujurat 49:13)
The above verse emphasizes the point that in Islam there is no place for intolerance, prejudice, or bigotry based on color, race, nationality or any such considerations. This all-encompassing tolerance of Islam applies to all elements of life and all affairs of Muslims.
The Muslim's acceptance of the Jews and Christians (referred to in the Qur'an as People of the Book) as authentic religious communities is made clear:
[And dispute not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong and injury.] (Al-
This verse tells Muslims that they should take all measures to avoid dispute, anger or other negative feelings between themselves and others.
A Historical Context
In his book, More in Common Than You Think: Bridge Between Islam and Christianity, Dr. William Baker explains how Muslims view the Torah and the New Testament as inspired revelations of God and how Islam neither targeted the Jews nor Judaism.
In his article "The Prophet of Islam and the Jews: Basis of Conduct, Acceptance, Respect and Cooperation", Fysal Burhan quotes Dr. Baker: "It is a fact of history that when the Jews were being persecuted in Europe during the middle ages they found peace, harmony, and acceptance among the Muslim people of Spain. In fact, this was the era of Jewish history that they themselves refer to as "the golden age."
Marmaduke Pickthall, whose translation of the meanings of the Qur'an remains one of the most popular today, also commented on the subject:
In Spain under the Umayyads and in Baghdad under the Abbasid Khalifas, Christians and Jews, equally with Muslims, were admitted to the Schools and universities - not only that, but were boarded and lodged in hostels at the cost of the state. When the Moors were driven out of Spain, the Christian conquerors held a terrific persecution of the Jews. Those who were fortunate enough to escape fled, some of them to Morocco and many hundreds to the Turkish empire, where their descendants still live in separate communities, and still speak among themselves an antiquated form of Spanish. The Muslim empire was a refuge for all those who fled from persecution by the Inquisition.
The Western Christians, till the arrival of the Encyclopaedists in the eighteenth century, did not know and did not care to know, what the Muslim believed, nor did the Western Christian seek to know the views of Eastern Christians with regard to them. The Christian Church was already split in two, and in the end, it came to such a pass that the Eastern Christians, as Gibbon shows, preferred Muslim rule, which allowed them to practice their own form of religion and adhere to their peculiar dogmas, to the rule of fellow Christians who would have made them Roman Catholics or wiped them out?
If Europe had known as much of Islam, as Muslims knew of Christendom, in those days, those mad, adventurous, occasionally chivalrous and heroic, but utterly fanatical outbreak known as the Crusades could not have taken place, for they were based on a complete misapprehension?
It was not until the Western nations broke away from their religious law that they became more tolerant; and it was only when the Muslims fell away from their religious law that they declined in tolerance and other evidences of the highest culture. Before the coming of Islam it had never been preached as an essential part of religion.? (Madras Lectures on Islam)

I think you are either not cleaver enough to understand or you do not want to understand.
Once again Mladic, Karadjic and Milosevic killed 8 thousand man in one day in Sebrenica, the three of them are Christians. And they killed thousands more during the Balkans' wars.
Tell me of a Muslim who has done such atrocities in one day. Of course you will mention 9/11 but you should know that the Americans do say that it was the US government behind all that. They have done many documentaries about that which in most of the cases are not shown in the media controlled by the US government.
Read the material I have sent earlier in this topic and you will see who are the real terrorists.

Brother saying that God is everywhere is a wrong belief. I don't know what you wanted to say with that but in Islam saying that God is everywhere is wrong belief, wrong aqidah.
We say that Allah is over the Throne. And we don't comment on that.

First of all we have to make one thing clear that a terrorist is a terrorist and there is no relation between Islam and terrorism. Because those who do such acts are not encouraged from Islam.
Why do people mention the religion of a muslim when he does something wrong and they don't mention the religion of the jews and christians when they do the same acts?
The Serbs which are Christians Orthodox are amongst the most notorrious Terrorists of all times. They killed so many muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo (Albania) just because of them being muslims. They killed 8 000 people in one day in Sebrenica only because they were muslims and the Dutch army did nothing to protect them.
Did you people forget what is happening in Palestine? There did not exist a Jewish State untill 1948 when the British established this state, and the USA provides them with 1 billion $ every year to kill the Palestinians. The poor Palestinians are in their own homes trying to defend themselves and their nation from jewish terrorists. Why don't you call them Jewish terrorists ?
What about the christians in Labenon a few dacades ago? They killed so many muslims there. After the Jewish occupied Labenon and left the muslims, in Beirut, in the hands of the Christians without anything to defend themselves, they (the Christians) killed thousands of muslims. So once again why you people do not call them Christian Terrorist?
Then you have the Greeks, Orthodoxs Christians as well, they did ethnic cleansing in southern Albania they killed thousands of muslims during early 20-th century and untill mid 20-th century. The poor people of Cameria (Northwest Greece)the region that now is Greek territory are still asking for their properties to be returned back to them.
Sorry did you forget about Bush the real terrorrist, who to capture one person has killed and is still killing thousands of innocent people in Afganistan, or to overthrow a regime so that he could get the oil is killing thousands of innocent muslims in Iraq.
Hey all of you don't you know that the western Christians killed more than 300 milion people around the world during their colonisation campain? Ask the africans and they will tell you what happened to their forefathers(don't forget the slavery). Go to South and North America and you will be lucky to find some native Americans. And all of the Colonisators had a priest with them, with the bible in his hands. They were given the "Go Ahead" from the Pope himself.
And hey people did you forget the Crusades? There were 8 of them, and they (the Crusaders) were blessed from the Pope himself. So who are the most notorrious terrorists?
