ive just joined today and hav been reading everyone comments some which hav been interesing and educational, im from the uk and would like to know more about my religion and would like to be involved in more discussion on isalm.

i would like to hear peole thoughts on why pakistani people wil put their culture before religion and how this tow inter links.
my both parents are from pakistan but when i meet people from there or even pakistanis from uk the always seem to confuse the two, can any shed any more light on this matter?

Hello all. I posted back on july 16 and I want to thank all who responded to me. I was very pleased with the responce and everyone was very kind and curtious. I have not been able to answere all of you yet but I am working on doing that. I just do not have alot of time to be on the computer. I do believe I have and will make some friends here. I am very pleased with this sight and the kindness extended to those of us who are not Muslim.
There has been some discussion as to why some of the questions on the profile. I have been to other friendship(only) sights and some of the questions here I have never seen on any of the others such as body type. Is there a reason for asking this and other personnel questions. I am of the understanding that this is a friendship sight not a sight for finding a spouse. If one does congratulations but I do not believe that is the main perpose of the sight. Any way thanks for the rather not say line that we can mark. Thanks again for all the response to my other post. Vicky

This message board is something like the CNN Message Board model. My suggestion is that you can categorize the messages into different sections and subjects of discussions opn similar lines as appears in CNN Message Boards:

friendship/quran discussions/ new converts/ questions and answers: Muslims/ questions and answers: Non - Muslims/ Muslim - Non Muslim interactions/ sunna discussions/ prayer/ and so on....

This would help this site grow into greater proportions and attract huge crowds both from muslims and non muslims.
