My name is Khris... I would like to meet muslims in my area who can educate me more about the islam religion. I was introduce by this religion from a friend of mine, and I would really like to know how I can convert over. I am used to be Catholic... but it's a long story... let's just say bad experience... Anyway, any advice is greatly appreciated.. email me if you can..

I can't understand why people would want to convert to Islam, with all that is going on around the world, especially in Arab world. It seem to me to be an intolerant culture, and I am even scared that my opinion be banned frmo this forum (freedom of speech)

Firstly, you are not converting. As muslims we believe that everyone is a born muslim and that they are free from the 'original sin' No one can be held accountable or be punished for something he/she is not guilty of.
