It is more then likely that his family will not respect you, so make sure you are taking the correct steps sister.

If you convert to Islam you will not only have the whole of the muslim world blessing you and fighting in your corner... you will stand more of a chance to be accepted by his family as well.

i agree with you im married to a wonderful muslim man whom i love and he has been through alot because he married me and he didnt care what other peple say about us he still loves me alot!
