Salam and Peace on All of You Muslim and Christain.
I believe that the one of the most critical issue we can evoke with creation people is the subject of the Christ as being the " Son of God ", in Islam as most of you know, Jesus is one of God's messenger that was sent to enlighten the Christian people but things turn wrong and they decided to kill him. Jesus has not been killed but raised to God's and would be sent back in the appropriate time to get rid of Dajal ( the person who would corrupt the earth at a given time ) then he would free the human nature from their oppressive life they were leading during the Dahjal Reign. Jesus has never been considered as God in the Islam point of you, and for the Christian people if they would think in a rational way, they would grasp the sense that God does not need another god to sacrifice to clear the human pitfalls, in the Bible it is mentioned that Jesus cries, God does not cry, Jesus feels hungry and eat food, God is beyond these human instinct. what I want to come to, Jesus is in the eye of Islam has always been considered as a respectable messenger who did his part the same as Abraham, Mouse and Mohamed (S) and that's who Islam preached not to make any difference in between all of the prophets. - Peace

Peace Sista. Praise God that he has shown you the paganism of Roman Catholicism at such a very young age and from a european background. True salvation comes from ones relationship with God and Islam is the best way to build a lasting relationship with God. In the last age of mankind all people will worship God as one and as brothers and sisters and God blessing you with understanding is a testament to that revelation. Peace

Salam. I am new to Islam. My family are all devout Catholics, and I was a Christian. I was very active in the youth ministry at my Church.

I believe I can answer a few of your questions, although I am not perhaps as well versed as the first of our brothers who posted.

Jesus is not God. Nor is he the son of God any more than any man or woman on earth is God's son/ daughter.

In the bible, Jesus taught his disciples how to pray. Every word was deference to God. Every word of prayer he spoke was submission to God's will. Jesus prayed to God. He asked God to do His will. Jesus did not pray to himself. He prayed to God. Therefore he cannot be God.

Jesus spoke in the Bible, saying "No man can come to the Father but by me." Christians have twisted this meaning to fit the belief that praying to Jesus will garuntee you a place in Heaven. This is simply untrue. What Jesus spoke of was following his example, leading a good and just life. This including many things: Subservience to God. Belief in the oneness of God. Doing good deeds. Showing kindness to others, and to animals.. to all of God's magnificent creation..

Two more things:

The first is unconfirmed as I do not read Hebrew.. but a Christian friend who does once told me: the word originally used in the Bible where Jesus calls God "Father" this word also means creator.

The second is very simple. God gives life to all of us. He gave life to Prophet Muhammed(Pbuh) He gave life to Jesus without a father. He gave life to Adam with no father AND no mother.
All of the Prophets were given gifts. God performs many miracles.
Who are we to judge which of God's miracles are greatest?

The Bible foretold the coming of the Prophet (saaws) as it foretold many other things.

The Bible is well and truly the word of God.. but it has been changed many times by man. And men did not follow this word. So God, in his wisdom, sent his word to us again. This is the Quran. And the Quran has not been changed.

I have much information which has been given to me that I would like to pass on to you. Including where to get free copy of the Quran.. and an English Translation until you learn the Arabic.. as well as many other books and essays.

Please feel free to contact me any time.. Or to post any further questions. :)

The Bible and Quran, in my opinion, both fortell the same person returning at the end of the age. The book of revelations is entirely about the last days of this current age and the future kingdom that will be established by "Jesus" when he returns. I believe that the prophecized Mahdi and Jesus are the same person and Islam will be the religion of all mankind. Your next question is quite simple to answer. If Jesus was God as most Christans contend then why did he die? You cannot kill God, so Jesus could not have been God. It is that simple.

SO WHY ONLY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, THAT JESUS IS STRECHTED TO BE THE SON OF GOD IN THE HOLY BIBLE. BUT THE TRUTH BE TOLD; THAT THE SON OF GOD WAS CALLED BY ADAM AND ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE.AND IF MUHAMMAD IS A PROPHET OF GOD WHY HE IS NOT IN THE BIBLE? I BELIEVE THE BIBLE DOES HAVE A LOT OF ERRORS. THE JEHOVAH WITNESSES, (REMIND YOU THEY ARE CHRISTIANS) SAID THAT THERE ARE MORE THAN 50,000 ERRORS. IS THIS TRUE? IS IT TRUE THAT THE WHITE MAN OR MAN BEAT CHRISTIANITY INTO THE SLAVES? CHRISTIANS WORSHIP JESUS MORE THAN GOD. THAT'S WHY I DO NOT LIKE BEING A CHRISTIAN. ONE MORE VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION; DO I HAVE TO PRAY TO JESUS TO GET TO GOD? THE REASON I ASK SO MANY QUESTIONS IS THAT I WANT TO CONVERT TO ISLAM (CAUSE I BELIEVE IT IS THE TRUTH WITH THE STUDY I PUT IN TO IT), BUT I WANT TO FIND THE TRUTH BEFORE I DO CONVERT!!

THANKS!!
