Asalamu alaykum sister in islam. Could you maybe create an email account of some sort, and posted here so that we can message you through there. I too need help with few things that i am going through at the present and don't really have anyone to talk to about it. Jazakallahu khair in advance.
subhanAllah, Masha'Allah - great idea sister. Are you studying or working towards psychology?
Brother Ajlooni, my comments/advice:
Step 1: Identify the cause of your stress. you mention many reasons i.e. work and study demands, spousal conflicts and without family/friend support.
2: list down the sources, and the reasons that they are causing you anxiety, e.g. studies: work load too much. and rate them according to most contributory to the stress.
3: work out a plan on how to alleviate or eliminate the causes, or find appropraite solutions. you can work on them one at a time, or simultaneously.
e.g. for 'no support structure' - possible solutions are to a) make friends at the musjid, b) find people at work who you can interact with socially, etc.
4: yes, the Qur'an says "hearts do find satisfaction in the rememberance of Allah"
so ask HIm for help, for guidance, and turn to HIm for solace.
when you are very down, take wadhu and sit on the prayer mat and read (be it Qur'an, or zikrullah, or dua). I do not understand Arabic, so at times when i am seeking soem guidance, or solace, i open the English Qur'an to any page, and it seems liek the words that i read are answer to my dilemma - Alhamdulillah... or sometimes, just comforting.
5: you specifically mentioned 'inter-faith' marriage, but your profile says you are 'separated' - my advice there is to align on Deen. she must accept the teachings of Islam, and insha'Allah take it from there. speak to your local Aalim on this for advice and assistance for the both of you. it is very easy fr us to give up, throw in the towel and walk away. it takes more strength, courage and maturity to tackle our problems head on and attempt to resolve it. YEs, life is tough, but the road to jannah is beset with difficulties.
you have to many stressful situations in your life currently - do not make rash decisions, but try to tackle each problem one by one.
First of all. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for offering to help others. jazaki Allah khair.
i am under a lot of stress, and i would appreciate any advice or help. i am full time student for Master and full time employee. my interfaith marriage causes a lot of conflict. i am in foreign country. no friends or family for moral support. the only time i feel relaxed is when i am praying. i would appreciate any advice.
i am not a gold member so it will be hard to contact you via e mail. but i will be looking to hear back from you
How are you these days? Sorry for the late reply. I was very bust with my studies. I can answer you here and i have a few questions. Would you like to send me your email so that we can discuss about regaining your confidence and your life back or would you be comfortable communicating through this forum. I'm okay either way.
What i need to know is what do you want your future to look like, what do you want out of life? What are your values? How does the breakup of your relationship has affected your life and your self confidence as well as the way you look at yourself and relationships in general?
Hope to hear from you. May Allah look after you always.
