    Allahumme Sali Ala seyidina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi was sellim.

    Assalamu aleykum,

    The magnificent Quran has been sent for all times not 1400 years ago and stayed there no till the last hour then Allah SWT will claim the Quran and take it back to Jannah. So please do not say in the old days one could have slaves and now not such sayings are due to lack of knowledge Islam doesnot promote slavery never did never will.
    The reason why slaves were kept his so the slaves would be treated in best manner because islam gives slaves also rights unlike the Christians and Jews and non-believers who took slaves and made them lower then animals. as to the event of Afghanistan with the man in question let muslims not debate when there are religious scholars who know islam better then us. If we say the man should or should not be killed we might be turning against Allah should we gamble with our believe. Estafirallah. Why should the USA be concerned about 1 christian when they kill muslims by day and night you believe are living a lie. Wake up and stop following blindly western media. We are muslims (Alhamdulilah) and To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return Bismillah Inna lillah wa inna ileyhi raji un.

    The reason we can make errors is this:
    (33.36) And it behoves not a believing man and a believing woman that they should have any choice in their matter when Allah and His Apostle have decided a matter; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle, he surely strays off a manifest straying.

    If Islam decides that this man maybe put to death and we would not agree we then rebel against this Ayah(33.36) thus agains Allah and his prophet(saws)
    May Allah forgive us all (amin)

    Comment above about

    "It's not righteousness that ye turn your faces to the East and the West:
    but righteous is he who believeth in God and the Last Day
    and the angels and the scriptures and the prophets;
    and giveth wealth, for love of Him, to kinsfolk
    and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer
    and to those who ask, and to SET SLAVES FREE;
    and observeth proper worship and payeth the poor-due/
    and those who keep their treaty when they make one,
    and the patient in tribulation and
    adversity and time of stress.
    such are they who are sincere. Such are the God-fearing." (II, 177)
